ShareLinx

How to Use ShareLinx

A friendly walkthrough to help you start saving, organizing, and revisiting your links. Most steps take just a few seconds, and you can begin without an account.

What ShareLinx Is

ShareLinx is a simple app for saving the webpages you want to find again later: articles, recipes, tools, design references, research links, shopping ideas, and more. You save links, sort them into Collections, add notes, and revisit them whenever you like — on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Vision Pro–compatible iPad mode.

Saving a Link from Safari or Another App

The fastest way to save something is through the share sheet:

  1. While viewing a webpage in Safari or another app, tap the Share button.
  2. Find and tap ShareLinx in the list of share options.
  3. Confirm or adjust the details, then save.

If you don't see ShareLinx in the share sheet, scroll the row of app icons and look for a More option to enable it.

Adding a Link Manually

You can also add a link without the share sheet:

  1. Open ShareLinx.
  2. Choose the option to add a new link.
  3. Paste or type the web address.
  4. Save it.

This is handy when you already have a URL copied or typed out.

Using Collections

Collections help you group related links so they're easy to find.

  1. Create a new Collection and give it a name that makes sense to you, like "Recipes" or "Project Research."
  2. When saving or editing a link, choose the Collection you want it in.
  3. Open any Collection to see everything you've gathered there.

Adding One Link to Multiple Collections

A single link can live in more than one Collection, so you don't have to pick just one home for it.

  1. Open the link's details or editing view.
  2. Select each Collection you'd like it to belong to.
  3. Save your changes.

The link will now appear in every Collection you chose.

Adding Notes

Notes help you remember why a link mattered.

  1. Open a link's details.
  2. Find the notes field.
  3. Type a quick thought, reminder, or detail.
  4. Save.

Your note stays attached to the link for whenever you return to it.

Viewing Link Details

Tap any saved link to open its details. Here you can see the title, the web address, any notes you've added, the Collections it belongs to, and a summary if one is available.

Opening Saved Links

To visit a saved page, open the link's details and choose the option to open it. The page will open in your browser or the appropriate app.

Reordering Links

If you'd like your links in a particular order, you can usually rearrange them:

  1. Enter the editing or reorder mode for your list or Collection.
  2. Drag a link to its new position.
  3. Release to drop it in place.

Sorting Links by Date

Prefer to see your newest or oldest saves first? Use the sorting option to arrange links by the date they were added. Switch between newest-first and oldest-first to suit how you like to browse.

Using Uncategorized

Any link you save without choosing a Collection lands in Uncategorized. Think of it as your default holding spot. You can revisit Uncategorized anytime to sort those links into Collections later.

Using Widgets

You can add a ShareLinx widget to your Home Screen for quicker access:

  1. Touch and hold an empty area of your Home Screen until the icons jiggle.
  2. Tap the option to add a widget.
  3. Search for ShareLinx and choose a widget size.
  4. Place it where you'd like.

iCloud Sync Basics

If iCloud is enabled for ShareLinx, your links can stay consistent across your Apple devices signed in to the same Apple account.

Optional AI Summaries

On supported Apple Intelligence devices, ShareLinx can generate a short summary of a saved page, if this feature is available in your version.

Using ShareLinx on iPad and Apple Vision Pro–Compatible iPad Mode

ShareLinx adapts to bigger screens:

Your saved links and Collections stay the same across devices, especially if iCloud sync is enabled.
